I’ve been drinking Reed’s bottled ginger beer for years and it has helped so much with my gut health. I prefer the strongest and the strong. I usually buy a quantity of 2-3 of the 4pack bottles of either the strongest or the strong. However, the last few times I bought this I had to throw them away. 1 sip and I immediately spit it out. THATS NOT THE SAME PRODUCT! There’s no way! The ingredients seem the same but it’s definitely not. It’s NOTICEABLY sweeter with a weird nasty aftertaste. I tried to buy it again thinking it was just a bad batch and had to throw those away too. I went to another store, same nastiness. I switched to the strong and that was so sweet and flat, ugh! Respectfully, it’s just plain gross.

The bottles now taste like the canned versions which I made the mistake of purchasing in the past and refuse to ever do again. Plus Amber bottles are definitely healthier and the better choice.
This is extremely infuriating because I’ve loved this beverage so much. I really hate overly sweet, fake chemical tasting beverages and I prefer natural items.
I don’t know whose decision this was or if it was just a few bad batches but can someone please contact me to explain what’s going on?
I’m very sad about this because I only drink my strongest or strong Reed’s ginger beer, water, or seltzer water. Maybe occasionally cranberry juice but it’s gotta be real organic cranberries with no sugar.

This is my after dinner beverage. I’ve been substituting selzer but it’s not the same. Please, do not do this to us. I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices this.

Whoever decided that they needed to change the recipe so drastically needs to be drawn and quartered.
It tastes completely different now.
This has been one of my favorites for 20 years now.
Why would you completely change the taste and not even have the decency to announce that it’s been changed.
I will never spend a dime in this company again.
