REED'S ZERO SUGAR GINGER ALE 24 PACK
I was expecting carbonated water, ginger, and stevia. I had bought a small case at Sprouts while in Arizona. I bought 9 cases of this from you and it has more ingredients. Partly my fault, but I was expecting what I had previously purchased. Thank you!
She really loves it.
I've found ginger to help my health condition. When I was able to find it with Real Ginger I was happy. But then I could see that the sodium benzoate found in other brands, was not found in Reed's Ginger Ale. Then I saw it came in a sugar free form. Carefully reading the carton, it said it was sweetened with Stevia. I bought two 4 can packs. However, after getting it home and grabbing a taste, "Oh, yuck" it had this nasty off taste. "What could it be?" I looked at the ingredients on the can. It was different that the box the 4 cans had come in. It said for sweeteners it used, "Stevia, Erythritols, Monk Fruit".
Well that takes the cake. The ingredients on the box are NOT the same as the ingredients on the can! And top that off, the nasty taste was the erythritol sweetener. Since I am allergic to Benzoates, and the chemical or listed name varies widely, I've been trained what to look for. You see there are additives, including sweeteners, mostly artificial sweeteners, that contain benzoates. Erythritol is one of those sweeteners.
So, now that I bought 2 boxes of 4 cans, and dated them with the purchase date before placing them in my pantry, I have7 cans of useless drink, all due to false advertising.
I would have given 1 star but I was so danged happy to find a real sugar with out benzoates.
Best soda around!
